General Practice is a comprehensive medical discipline that integrates clinical medicine, preventive medicine, rehabilitation medicine, and humanities. Its core philosophy emphasizes?people-centered, family-oriented, and community-based?care, focusing on the long-term, holistic maintenance and promotion of health. It combines individual and population health management into a coordinated, responsible, and continuous care model.
Establishment and Development
In?October 2018, the Department of General Practice at The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) was officially established. The department operates?general outpatient clinics, teaching clinics, and an?inpatient ward with 20 beds.
